Speaking Tour Through NSW
Gosford and Newcastle Permaculture Groups
I loved my time in NSW, I must confess its a state I haven’t seen a lot of, so getting the train from Sydney to Gosford then onto Newcastle was an unexpected treat. I spoke to the different permaculture groups about my Edible School Gardens program and gave different schools some advise of getting there programs progressing. I love visiting other groups and schools as its an opportunity for me to learn from them as well.
I also visited Central Coast Post School Options, and we call our cottage and enterprise there “Common Ground”. Kerri and Steve are running some terrific programs there they
provide high quality, individualised support to people with disabilities and their families to enable them to develop vocational, personal and social skills that will assist them to work and participate in the wider community. The gardens, shadehouse, artwork, eating area and kitchen were a credit to the dedication of the team.
