Leonie's Edible Garden News - February 2013

I  hope that you're Summer Holidays have been good to you and that you were not too personally affected by our recent climatic extremes :)

This is a brief summer edition of the newsletter.  Further newsletters will include information on growing healthy soils, healthy food which has the postive effects on your life - the subjects closest to my heart.  I look forward to sharing tips, stories, fun stuff and photos and of course, don't forget the competition at the bottom of this page where you can not only share your own tips & photos but maybe WIN too!

It’s been a very busy 12 months with the launch of my new DVD Edible School Gardens, Speaking and Workshop Events throughout Qld and NSW, starting a community garden, my usual edible school gardens program and now the launch of my organic gardening workshops from home. It’s looking like a busy year and I look forward to meeting many more gardeners along the way. Workshops: 

Since moving onto my beautiful piece of property in 2011 (back then it was just flat land with some grass and gum trees) and converting into an abundant food systems, many people and fellow gardening educators have been encouraging me to run courses from home and teach others what I have done.  Most people know me for my very successful No Dig Gardens and Edible SchoolGardens programs but now I have the space I have been having so much fun experimenting with different ways to set up vegetable gardens and trying new methods and comparing growth of plants.  Even just to visit my property and see how I have coped with floods, drought and more extreme wet!

Organic Gardening Courses  start 10th March 3013 .  I am excited to be sharing my knowledge and my piece of paradise with others. We’ll have lots of fun along the way too. My passion has always been for growing food for our health, it’s the only food we can have full control of and it leads us into becoming empowered with our own food supply.   Growing healthy food is so vital for all of us.  After at day at my home sharing my knowledge and gardens with you, I hope to inspire you and send you home brimming with information. You won’t go home empty handed either, there will be bucket loads of samples for you to get you started and you will pot up your own seedlings.   Instant garden.  Accommodation is available.
